What Is Tune into your Soul Beat?

People often ask, “Is Tune into your Soul Beat a sound bath? A workshop? A drum circle?”
Not exactly.
Tune into your Soul Beat began as a collaboration, shaped by a shared vision for something uniquely its own. We often refer to it simply as Soul Beats
There’s something deeply human about what happens when people come together with shared intention. We don’t have to do everything alone. Healing, reflection, and growth can happen in community. When practitioners support one another and serve together, that sense of unity becomes part of the experience.
That philosophy is what gave rise to Soul Beats.
While collaboration shapes the container, the experience is deeply personal. Soul Beats invites you to tune into your own rhythm and reconnect with your own authentic pace beneath everything else.

How Soul Beats Came Together
Soul Beats grew out of a natural collaboration between Sagewave Sound in Downtown Melbourne and Soul Journey Relaxation Retreats here in Melbourne, Florida, where the event takes place.
Pepper brings somatic activation and intuitive awareness. Steve brings bodywork. I bring therapeutic sound. After our first few sessions working together, it became clear that layering our modalities created a uniquely powerful experience. The way our work overlaps and supports one another is what gives Soul Beats its depth.
What Happens During Soul Beats
Somatic Activation and Meditation
The session begins with somatic activation and guided meditation led by Pepper. She guides everyone through breathwork and progressive relaxation, helping the body soften and the mind begin to turn inward. As attention shifts away from the outside world and back into internal awareness, the nervous system begins to regulate and the body settles more naturally.
Therapeutic Sound and Nervous System Regulation
From there, I guide a full therapeutic sound session. My work focuses on using frequency and vibration to support nervous system balance while also working with the subtle energetic field of the body. Through steady rhythm and layered tones, the brain begins to shift into slower states associated with relaxation and integration. As the body settles, people often describe feeling lighter, clearer, or more connected to themselves.

Integration Through Touch and Rhythm
The session ends with a grounding integration moment that brings everything together. Steve offers craniosacral massage to each participant while I drum gently over the body and Pepper provides energetic clearing.
Craniosacral massage is subtle and grounding. It brings in physical touch at the close of the session, reinforcing the regulation that has already begun. When practitioners come together with aligned purpose, the combined intention amplifies the experience in a way that feels different from working alone.
The Closing Circle
After the integration portion, Pepper gently brings the group back together. She offers a collective intuitive message that often speaks to what was already moving through the room.
We then open the space for conversation. It’s an opportunity for those who feel called to speak about their experience or any shifts they noticed, while others can simply listen. This closing circle often creates a sense of connection that extends long after the session is over.

Soul Beats came together because we genuinely respect each other’s work and wanted to offer something meaningful to the community. Each of us stays rooted in our own strengths, and that allows the experience to unfold in a way that feels beautifully aligned.
